'Hawaii Five-0' 4x12 preview: First look at Kono's return to the island

"Hawaii Five-0" is ready to air its first episode following winter break on CBS, and now fans are being given their first look at the episode. On Sunday, Jan. 5, Spoilers Guide shared an extended preview for "Hawaii Five-0" episode 4x12 titled "O kela me kela manawa." Kono, who is played by Grace Park, is set to return to the series in a more full capacity during the episode.

Kono has not been seen much on this fourth season of the CBS series. She would call in and report to her friends back home in Hawaii, but she was on a search for Adam in recent episodes. That search will end on this week's episode, and the pair are shown together when Kono returns to the island to see her cousin and the rest of the 5-0 family.

Why was Kono gone for so long? Grace Park was pregnant, and she had her baby last year. The writers reduced her work load to give her time to recover and spend time with the new arrival in her life. Fans will see a lot more of Kono during the second half of season four.

Kono's return is not the only thing happening on the next episode. McGarrett and Grover will work together on an investigation as well. Grover is played by Chi McBride, and fans will see more of him this season as well. He is a regular cast member on the series now.

What do you think? Are you excited to see more of Grace Park on this series? "Hawaii Five-0" will air this episode on CBS on Friday night.
