Recent studies have found a connection between muscle mass and longer life. The more you have the longer you live. It has long been known that if you are more active you will be healthier than a person who sits all day doing nothing.

But exercise isn’t the end all be all answer to all your health problems, you must start eating healthier or the exercise will be fighting the processed foods you consume and you might think you are gain good health when you are really sabotaging yourself.

"In other words, the greater your muscle mass, the lower your risk of death," study co-author Dr. Arun Karlamangla, an associate professor in the geriatrics division at University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine, said in a university news release. "Thus, rather than worrying about weight or body mass index, we should be trying to maximize and maintain muscle mass."
