Havenwoods Environmental Awareness Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin offers so much for young children when it comes to education. There are programs for schools and educators, along with families.

For schools and educators there are fieldtrips, workshops, resource materials (ranging from backpacks, trunks and other teaching materials), and a special handbook called “Buds ‘n Sprouts: Gardening with Kids Handbook.”

For families they offer parent and preschooler story times and the “Wisconsin Explorer Program” (for children ages 3 and up). There are also family nature hikes, festivals, and a special activity called “Books in Your Backyard.”
