Being a victim of a home invasion and having someone take what is rightfully yours is devastating.
But when the beloved family pet is also stolen, it takes devastation to a whole new level. It turns the world of their loved ones upside down and the heartbreak is more than can ever be imagined.
Sadly, we must report another stolen pet - Luna, a 4-pound, 2-year-old Yorkshire Terrier, missing from the Mays Landing, NJ area.
I spoke directly with Luna's mom by phone, and she claims the sweet, friendly dog was stolen from her Hamilton Green apartment on June 28. She was not wearing a collar or tags and is not microchipped. She is diabetic and on daily insulin, which has her family concerned for her health.
Luna, a laundry basket, and a jewelry box were all taken that day. Her family assumes she was taken from the apartment in the basket, and then may have escaped from the thief - a witness told Luna's owners that a Yorkie was running through the adjoining Woodland Development with someone chasing her.
They now believe Luna may have been picked up by someone unrelated to the theft, someone unaware that they've been searching tirelessly for her. Unfortunately, she could be anywhere by now, but they don't believe the person who may be caring for her had anything to do with her disappearance. Therefore, this person should have no fear of coming forward to return her.
Since that tragic day, they have spent all their free time searching for their little pup. They put up posters, handed out flyers, enlisted the help of animal communicators, and are offering a large reward for her safe return - no questions asked.
This heartbroken family, desperate to find her, is asking for help to bring her back home. A member of their family is now missing, and they are left with a feeling of helplessness that only being safely reunited with Luna can erase.
If you know of Luna's whereabouts or have any information, please immediately call Justice Rescue at (215) 942-6363. A reward for her safe return is now at $2,200.
Please share with family and friends to help reunite Luna with her loved ones who miss her dearly. We hope to update soon that Luna is back in their arms.
