Sonoma County’s Redwood Hill Farm and Creamery combines nutritious, natural food, respect for animals and the earth, family values, and community building- all served up with tremendous taste!  Read on for new family food inspiration as well as Redwood Hill Farm tastings and lovable goat event information.

Delicious, Nutritious Cheeses, Yogurts, and Kefir the Whole Family Can Enjoy

Redwood Hill Farm engages the help of 300 heritage breed goats to produce raw goat’s milk, which is this sent to Redwood Hill’s creamery.  Dairy masters at the creamery use this high quality, all natural milk as the base for award winning artisan cheeses, European style yogurts, and creamy Kefirs.

“Redwood Hill Farm Goat Milk Yogurt is a gold medal winning, all natural European-style yogurt made with the best-tasting Grade A goat milk. It has a velvety smooth, delicate texture and is uniquely delicious.” (via (http://www.redwoodhill.com/)

Thanks to the natural, unprocessed milk, these products are also easy to digest, and some even aid in improved digestion.

Animal Care

“Our passion for our goats, our organic and natural approach to farming and our humane dairy practices, are a few of the reasons that Redwood Hill Farm is so special.  We care for over 300 goats and 400 fruit trees, and in return, they care for us.”

Redwood Hill raises four heritage breeds of goats:  Saanens from the Swiss Alps, French Alpines, Nubians from Aisa/Africa (with sweet floppy ears pictured right), and La Manchas which originate from California.

These goats spend about 10 years sharing their milk through the Farm, taking annual “maternity leaves” to birth and nurse “kids”.  Redwood Hill says, “We stop milking our goats during the last two months of their pregnancy, so they can rest and then give the milk to the new baby kids after that.” After 10 years, the goats retire and spend their days grazing at the Redwood Hill Farm.  “They’ve earned our continued care,” says the committed Bice family who began this farm forty years ago.

Community Farming

Redwood Hill’s Bice family extends their warm hearted values to the community as well. The family opens up its farm for family-focused tours, sponsors the annual Fermentation Festival (see flyer below), and often supports community events such as the recent SummerfieldWaldorfSchool’s Farm Dance.

The annual free Spring Open Farm featuring the new “kids” is slated for May 15 and 16th from 12 – 4 pm at 5480 Thomas Road, Sebastopol, CA - weather permitting.

Fun, tasty & educational…bring the family and see for yourself what makes our all-natural artisan cheeses, yogurts & kefirs so delicious and healthful. It all starts with our award winning dairy goats at our humane certified family farm. Enjoy free samples of everything we make, a farmer's market if you would like to take some home, and quality time with the stars of Redwood Hill--the cute baby goats. Supervised children will be allowed to handle them, watch kid feeding, learn to milk a goat, play on the hay bale pyramid.
