Whether it is coming or going, the next time you make a run for the border-- the Colorado border, that is-- make sure you make a pit stop for your complimentary souvenir courtesy of the bicentennial state. Colorado.com, the official site of Colorado Tourism, is giving away a free hat to everyone who signs up on their website.
So what makes this hat so special? It is definitely not a stale cap straight from a souvenir shop at DIA. No, this “official” state lid comes embroidered with the famous “Welcome to Colorful Colorado” sign that has greeted drivers at the state line for generations.
The catch is simple- just head on over to Colorado.com and click on the “Free Hat Giveaway” tab. From there just let them know when you will be traveling and at which Official Colorado Welcome Center you would like to pick it up. You will be emailed a confirmation letter, which must be printed out and presented when you arrive for your hat.
Welcome Centers are located in Alamosa, Burlington, Cortez, Dinosaur, Ft. Collins, Fruita, Julesburg, Lamar, Red Rocks, and Trinidad. Stop by and get your free piece of CO fashion and show everyone your Rocky Mountain Pride!
