Have a "Good Morrow" at the Escondido Renaissance Faire (Photos)

The Escondido Renaissance Faire is one of the most popular festivals in San Diego County, attracting visitors from all over California. The event takes place just 30-miles north of downtown San Diego at beautiful Felicita Park in Escondido.

Those brave enough to travel back in time to the reign of Queen Elizabeth I, will have an experience they won't forget. Festival goers will interact with pirates, wenches and fairies and through the world of living history, will learn about the age of chivalry and traditions of that time.

Spend the day learning archery techniques and watching weapons demonstrations. Feel the intensity as battle skirmishes break out between rivals and where there can be only one victor! Dine on a variety of foods and wash it down with tasty ales and drink. Relax under one the many majestic oak trees and enjoy a variety of entertainment, including musical performances, Shakespeare readings, and The Bawdy Juggler. Little ones will love walking the plank and searching for treasures in Pirates Cove, while parents wander through the merchants area seeking their own keepsakes and fortunes.
