While the snow is falling in many parts of the nation and the cold chills our bones, South Florida is enjoying fabulous weather for its seasonal sport of polo. So far, the International Polo Club Palm Beach has brought us thrilling polo competition under sunshine and blue skies with local celebrities in attendance and plenty of action taking place on the field.
On March 9, 2014, an especially rewarding event is set to take place which will benefit the Pediatric Oncology Support Team (POST) at Palms West Hospital in Wellington keeping the thrill of polo in mind.
The art of giving becomes the most important aspect of the evening for charitable enthusiasts who 'Pony Up For POST' and celebrate the sport of kings as part of an inaugural event of the International Polo Club Palm Beach. It all takes place at The Pavilion at the International Polo Club Palm Beach from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $50 per person.
With the price of the ticket comes the opportunity to enjoy live entertainment, hors d'oeuvres, and best of all, a silent auction which will feature equestrian-inspired artwork from the first annual 2014 commemorative Poster contest, including “Polo Rumble,” the winning artwork by Alan Metzger.
At the end of a beautiful and culturally complete evening, all funds raised will go to support POST, helping children and their families that live in the western communities, deal with the impact of pediatric cancer.
