Have a Computer and Printer: You Have a Business

I once read, "Ink on paper will not disappear for a long, long time." To publish this article you need ink and a printer. That's all. Many of you have a small business start up right at your kitchen counter. All you need is a working computer, all in one printer (fax, print, copy, scan, web), and black and colored ink. That's it. Of course, you'll have to buy the other stuff like paper, cardstock, etc. You get my drift.

Some of the businesses you can start right now for little or no cost at all are:

  1. Brochure Business: Every business needs this. Using brochures is a way of getting information about your business out there and it has pretty pictures to look at too.
  2. Marketing/Advertising: Use your computer to design flyers, business and rack cards. Get some card stock and free business card templates. Use an ink jet printer which produces high quality pictures to advertise your business or other businesses. The list is endless.
  3. Newsletters: This is another document that many businesses rely on. I use newsletters for my childcare. It lets the parents know what is happening in the up coming month. It also looks professional for any business. It can generate lots of traffic.
  4. Phamplets: Want to write a story and get it published but don't have the funds or the connection. Get yourself some good quality paper, a book binder, colore ink for graphics and there you have it. You can get your story out in half the time. Who knows, keep it up, a publishing house might become interested.
  5. Resume Typing: If you can type you can type a resume. Get professional resume paper and envelopes and type resumes galore. It's easy, and you don't have to worry about typos, the computer has spell check.

These are just a few businesses you can start with a computer and printer. You can write about news and events in your community. Design announcements or design invoices. You can use your computer to become a Virtual Office Assitant. Go to www.virtualassistantjobs.com for more info.

Yes, you can still use friends and family as your word of mouth for your business. Using a computer to create websites, email marketing, and correspondence saves time, money, and can be the start of a beautiful career.

I hope this information helps. Best of luck!
