A "haunted mirror" on eBay sold for $155 after the owners wanted desperately to part with it, Huffington Post reports Feb. 18.
Joseph Birch and Sotiris Charalambous originally took possession of the mirror when their landlord placed in a dumpster outside their London home five months ago. In an eerie coincidence, the two began falling victim to bad luck, financial issues, and illnesses. The both of them say they've woken up screaming in pain, feeling impending doom, and noticed strange shadows moving around on the mirror. In another instance, one of the men noticed an orb of light flashing in the room.
What prompted the flatmates to sell their so-called "haunted mirror" on eBay was when one of them woke up "covered in deep red scratches."
When the haunted mirror was posted on eBay, the owners fully disclosed their suspicion about the bad luck item. Only one bidder purchased the mirror for its asking price of $155. The new owner's name hasn't been released.
