Learn all things spooky, ooky, creepy and crawly during a haunted tour in the Kalamazoo area this weekend. Starting this weekend, Haunted History of Kalamazoo Tours will be changing things up and offering guests an interesting, entertaining and informative tour of the city’s dark side.
In a report on July 10, 2014 by WKZO, Greg Ayers from Discover Kalamazoo, said “Haunted History of Kalamazoo Tours will be the feature at Bronson Park.” This tour plans to show guests the spooky side of the city’s history.
Based on the local bestselling book, Haunted History of Kalamazoo by, Nicole Bray and Robert DuShane, this tour will take guests on a behind the scenes look at the city’s ghosts, paranormal encounters and local haunts. This area is so rich will history, it is not wonder why there are so many ghosts calling Kalamazoo home.
“There’s so much history in our community, and this is another opportunity to learn about its haunted side,” Ayers continued.
Stories guests will be treated to during the tour, include:
- The ghost of Thelma
- The dark past of Bronson Park
- Radisson Hotel’s ghostly music legend
- And much more, including 10 additional haunted locations
This walking tour begins at Bronson Park and covers a little over one mile. Make sure to have your walking shoes on, because this tour lasts approximately two hours. All tours depart the part at 8 p.m.
Advance purchased tickets cost $8.50 per person. Tickets purchased the day of the tour cost $10. Tickets can be purchased by visiting the tour’s website at HauntedKalamazooTours.com.
