Harvesting fruit trees in the Las Vegas valley

Here is the latest update from ProjectAngelfaces a non-profit organization working to better the lives of elders and youth at risk.

The best fruits are eaten right off the tree
Judy Holly

They need help in spreading the word to everyone you know that they will harvest neighborhood grown fruit, giving the pick of the crop to homeowners, and sharing the rest with elders and youth at risk.

Homeowners can make a donation of $25.00 per fruit tree harvested, or allow them to sell 10 % of larger harvests at market, in lieu of the $25.00 payment. Project AngelFaces makes it super simple and easy to prevent locally grown fresh fruit from going to waste. They will schedule harvest parties at the peak of ripeness and at the convenience of homeowners.

Please help get the word out to all Clark County residents with fruit trees on their property. Let everyone know Project Angelfaces will collect and share local fruit harvests, instead of them being wasted, or being ignored.

Currently, ripening fruits in and around the Vegas Valley are: apricots, peaches, figs and plums. Tell all your friends and share the following contact information. Volunteers for harvesting and other garden projects are also always welcome.
