According to the Canadian Press on Monday, Calgary Flames head coach Bob Hartley and Vancouver Canucks head coach John Tortorella were reprimanded by the National Hockey League for the incidents that occurred Saturday night in Vancouver.

Hartley was fined $25,000 for having enforcer Flames' enforcer Kevin Westgarth "instigate a premeditated fight with an unwilling opponent" two seconds after he took the opening faceoff, something he rarely does because he normally plays right wing. A line brawl pursued that saw over 200 minutes in penalties.

Tortorella meanwhile was suspended without pay for six games and 15 days for heading to the Calgary Flames' locker room during the first intermission. It appears that Tortorella was going to confront Hartley before he was restrained by Flames' enforcer Brian McGrattan and assistant coach Clint Malarchuk.

McGrattan was involved in the first period brawl, but did not receive a game misconduct.

Tortorella will begin the suspension on Tuesday night when the Canucks face the Edmonton Oilers and end on February 2.
