'Hart of Dixie' uses zombies to propose (Photos)

Zoe: “And mind face? What does that even mean? Does it mean like the melding of the brain and the face?”

George: “I thought it meant like mind the face. Kinda watch the face! Mind face! It’s a confounding name.”

“The Gambler” is the newest episode of Hart of Dixie. If you haven’t seen it yet, then beware of spoilers! To refresh your memory on what happened last time, click here. Hart of Dixie airs Tuesday nights at 7 on the CW, channel 5 for local Houstonians.

Wade and his band, Mind Face, are entering the battle of the bands. The writers try to do too much with this storyline. They should have focused on delving more into Wade and his mental state. He clearly gets stressed out and doesn’t like that people are expecting a lot of him, but the writers only hint at this. With something this complex and crucial to Wade’s character, the writers should have made this more of a front runner. Instead, the writers include a romantic spat between Zoe and Wade as well as throw in some George and Tansy trouble. What is great is that the writers have Wade open up a little more to George. Their friendship is great and hopefully it will be showcased soon. What are your Wade theories?

Lemon is busy trying to appear busy. She fills up her days with Walt, and when he leaves, she turns to Magnolia. The best part of this storyline is the end when Magnolia finally confronts Lemon about how she has been acting. Unfortunately, the scene is very short. The writers should have expanded this conversation. This could have been a great way for Lemon to open up, and it could have also been a great sister moment. The writers had all the right ideas, but they don’t follow through. Do you think Lemon is right in being this upset with Annabeth?

Tom enlists Lavon’s help in proposing to Wanda. This is just a fun storyline that features Tom and Wanda, and anytime they appear in an episode it is entertaining. Wanda ends up proposing to Tom through a weird and yet adorable zombie flashmob type of thing. Through this, Lavon learns that he wants to fight for Annabeth. The writers play it smart by just having Lavon say that he will wait for her. They could have rushed their relationship and made it happen before solving things with Lemon. Did you love the proposal?
