'Hart of Dixie' plays matchmaker (Photos)

Zoe: “As shocking as it sounds, I’m actually really happy with Wade.”

Wade: “I can hear you!”

“Islands in the Stream” is the newest episode of Hart of Dixie. If you haven’t seen it yet, then beware of spoilers! Be sure to check out the slideshow for quotes from the episode. Hart of Dixie airs Tuesday nights at 7 on the CW, channel 5 for local Houstonians.

The question of why George and Zoe aren’t together has finally been asked, surprisingly by George’s mother. She traps George and Zoe on his boat in order to try to get them together. It’s a very funny storyline, especially since the writers play up the lawyer/courtroom aspect of it. At least for the time being, everyone is happy in their respective relationships, but clearly Wade is now struggling with the idea that Zoe will move back to New York one day and leave him behind. Hopefully there won’t be any more awkward moments between the couples, at least for a little bit. This storyline highlights the weirdness, and so it would be best to take a break from all these awkward run ins. Did you love the scenes on George’s houseboat?

Lemon finds out that Brick is sleeping with someone young woman, and Lemon is not too happy about it. This storyline, for the most part, is fun to watch. The scene with Brick, Annabeth and Lemon is definitely the highlight of the storyline. Yes, it is a classic misunderstanding, but it doesn’t mean that it isn’t funny. What’s troublesome is the ending. Lemon pretends to be okay with Brick dating Shelby, but actually she is plotting to have them break up. This is just too predictable. Would it be too much if Lemon actually tried to get along with Shelby?

Annabeth finds herself a nice, charming, British guy in Bluebell! Of course this turns out to be a case of foreign accent syndrome. I mean it is just obvious. This is an interesting choice in a storyline, and it is not the most entertaining thing in the world, but it seems to be pushing Lavon and Annabeth together. Now Annabeth has confessed to liking Lavon, but this time it seems that Lavon is figuring out that he may have feelings for her. What do you think? Do you like the idea of Lavon and Annabeth dating?
