Wade: “No, no I won’t be your sex Yoda. Just rent a Ryan Gosling movie, alright? Do what he does.”
“Where I Lead Me” is the newest episode of Hart of Dixie. If you haven’t seen it yet, then beware of spoilers! To refresh your memory on what happened last time, click here. Hart of Dixie airs Tuesday nights at 7 on the CW, channel 5 for local Houstonians.
Wade lies to Zoe about what really happened with the girl at the bar. The episode becomes about honesty for the two of them, and the issues that Wade has about people expecting so much of him are nowhere to be seen. It’s a big part of his break down in the last episode, and so the writers should have spent time working out those issues. He refers to what happened at the bar as him being in a “dark place,” but that’s about all that’s commented on it. The writers have an opening to really develop his character, but they aren’t taking it. Instead they are focusing on the cheating and the relationship drama. Do you agree?
Tom and Wanda’s wedding is just adorable. The writers have done a good job with it. Tom and Wanda have really grown into more than just background characters. Hopefully after this, they will continue to take on more of a role in the show. Not only are they quirky and instantly entertaining, but through the wedding, the writers have showcased their relationships to everyone in the town. Tom and Wade’s friendship is hilarious, and it shows off a different side of Wade. Wanda and Zoe also become closer friends. Do you want to see more Tom and Wanda?
Here are quick thoughts on elsewhere in the episode. George unleashes the monster to help Lavon beat Filmore. It’s just a fun storyline that shows more of the small town rivalry. There’s a glimpse into George as a New York lawyer, but it is way to comical to be taken seriously. Annabeth and Lemon are back! After a lot of trying, Annabeth finally wins Lemon over by not trying too hard, and that’s great. She simply jumps to Lemon’s aid. Are you glad they are back to their old selves?
