Harry & the Hit Men deliver classic Stax Volt Revue at GAMH

Take a trip back to 1967, to the height of American recording label Stax Records. This little Memphis label was breaking boundaries and imprinting the future of music, signing acts that included Booker T. and the MG’s, Otis Redding, Sam and Dave, Isaac Hayes, William Bell, The Mar-Keys and Carla Thomas.

Flash forward 45 years to find Santa Cruz’s own psychedelic soul outfit, Harry & the Hit Men recreate one of the most significant concerts in soul music history.

Coming to the Great American Music Hall Friday, February 3, Harry & the Hit Men perform the 1967 Stax/Volt Revue Live in Norway concert featuring such classics as “Hold On! I’m Comin,” “Green Onions,” "Raise Your Hand,” “My Girl,” “Sweet Soul Music,” “You Don’t Know Like I Know,” and “Philly Dog.”

Special guests Battlehooch and Sun Hop Fat open this all ages event.
