While the “Haylor” breakup in early Jan. may have put talented singers Taylor Swift and Harry Styles at odds with one another, Mirror.co.uk reported this Saturday, Jan. 19, that the former couple is back together trying to talk again as friends at least. Nickutopia also revealed this afternoon that Taylor Swift is allegedly planning on singing one of the five new songs she wrote this week at the Grammys in Feb., though if one of these songs will be about her breakup with Harry Styles remains unconfirmed.
Interestingly enough, sources report this weekend that it was none other than Simon Cowell who helped bring Taylor Swift and Harry Styles of One Direction back together as friends so soon. Although the “Haylor” couple may be over for good, apparently both Harry and Taylor want to put their differences aside and act “civil” towards one another.
“Harry [Styles] still really likes Taylor, but like anyone who’s had a breakup, found it hard to speak to his ex-girlfriend,” said the source from Mirror.co.uk. “Harry’s been trying to figure things out and initially avoided her calls, but Simon [Cowell] gave Harry a friendly warning that a fight between him and Taylor [Swift] could jeopardize One Direction’s U.S. popularity.”
The source went on to add that both Harry and Taylor have already talked on the phone together since then, and that the One Direction star in particular didn’t want to “hold any grudges.”
“Taylor wanted to meet Harry face-to-face and talk things through, but Harry said nothing was left to be said. Harry told Taylor he didn’t hold grudges and hoped things wouldn’t be awkward when they saw each other. The air’s been cleared between them.”
That is definitely good news for former “Haylor” fans and followers of both the newly single Taylor Swift and Harry Styles, though the “Red” singer is still reportedly interested in premiering one of her five — yes, five — new songs at the soon-arriving 2013 Grammys in early Feb.
Sources from Nickutopia claim that Taylor Swift may be performing a new breakup song about Harry Styles (at least one is about the “Little Things” singer, adds the source), but she hasn’t decided yet which one she wants to sing for fans during the Grammys.
Of course, it is definitely still possible that Taylor may simply just play one of her hit “Red” album songs to avoid any public drama, so we T. Swift and Harry Styles fans will have to wait and see for the blonde beauty’s performance at the Grammy Awards this Feb. 10 on CBS. Please stay tuned!
