Harry Styles, Taylor Swift breakup: Taylor 'dumped' Harry, quiet on Twitter (Video)

Rumors continue to abound over the recent Taylor Swift and Harry Styles breakup, but Perez Hilton reported this Monday, Jan. 7, that Taylor Swift may have actually hinted at the alleged “Haylor” split on Twitter over the weekend. Hollywood Life also reported this Monday on some breaking details surrounding the split; Taylor Swift is allegedly the one who “dumped” Harry Styles after their fight on vacation, but is staying silent on the breakup for now.

It was just this Saturday that Taylor Swift wrote on Twitter a mysterious bit from one of her hit single’s song lyrics, titled “I Knew You Were Trouble.” Taylor tweeted: “…Til you put me down.” Although fellow Taylor Swift fans at the time may not have known what the lyric meant, in light of the “Red” singer’s recent breakup with One Direction’s Harry Styles, the line suddenly makes much more sense.

The full lyrics from "I Knew You Were Trouble" are: “I knew you were trouble when you walked in, so shame on me now. You flew me to places I’ve never been …. ‘til you put me down.”

Hollywood Life also offered some new details on the Taylor Swift and Harry Styles breakup this Monday night. After reports first emerged that “Haylor” had split, it’s said that Harry Styles stayed down in the Caribbean to enjoy a party with friends, even with Taylor Swift leaving their romantic get-together early on Friday. A “major fight” was said to be the reason behind the “Haylor” breakup, and Life's sources now add that Taylor Swift is the one who dumped Harry Styles.

“Yes, I can confirm that [Taylor and Harry] have split up. They were on holiday and just had this almighty row together,” said the insider to Daily Mail this afternoon.

Do you think Harry Styles and Taylor Swift would — or should — get back together? Or will the talented blonde pop country starlet perhaps write a song about “Haylor” and let the One Direction member go his own way?
