One Direction's Harry Styles is refusing to have his dates with Kendall Jenner filmed for any reality show, including "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," the show that she stars in with her family. A source told the New York Daily News in an article published on Jan. 6, 2014: “Harry has told Kendall that he will not appear on ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ under any circumstances. Harry does not want his love life played out across the world on TV.”
As previously reported, on Nov. 20, 2013, One Direction's Harry Styles and Kendall Jenner (one of Kim Kardashian's half-sisters) were photographed by paparazzi having dinner together at Craig's restaurant in West Hollywood, Calif.
Styles (who is 19) and Jenner (who is 18) were also photographed leaving Craig's in Styles' black Range Rover, which he was driving while Jenner was in the front passenger seat. An unidentified man is seen in the back seat raising his middle finger to the camera.
An insider told E! News at the time: "They aren't 'dating.' They are just friends. That was like the first real time they hung out. We will see what happens."
A representative for Styles told E! News: "There is no comment on this."
Since then, Styles and Jenner have been photographed "hanging out" together in New York City in December 2013, and on the ski slopes of Mammoth Lakes, Calif., in January 2014.
Sources tell me that Kendall's publicity-hungry mother, Kris Jenner (who is also the manager of her children's careers), desperately wants Kendall to date Styles, for obvious reasons. One Direction (the biggest-selling "X Factor" act in the world) has a red-hot career right now, with sold-out tours and No. 1 hits in several countries. According to Forbes magazine, One Direction made $42 million in pretax income between June 2012 and June 2013. (Most of the money came from touring and merchandise sales.)
Styles is considered the biggest heartthrob in One Direction. He has a reputation for being a playboy, but since early 2012, he refuses to publicly name the women he's been dating. He has been romantically to linked numerous women, including singer Taylor Swift, model Cara Delevingne, Kimberly Stewart (one of Rod Stewart's daughters), former "Made in Chelsea" co-star Caggie Dunlop, model/actress Emily Atack, singer/actress Natalie Imbruglia, model Emma Ostilly, photographer Sarah-Louise Colivet, singer Lucy Halpern, radio DJ Lucy Horobin and "The Xtra Factor" co-host Caroline Flack.
There are rampant rumors that Styles is bisexual, and that he has had secret romances with his One Directon band mate Louis Tomlinson and BBC Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw. Tomlinson, Grimshaw and Styles have publicly denied these rumors.
Kris Jenner's eldest children are Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and Rob from her 1978-to-1991 marriage to celebrity attorney Robert Kardashian. Kendall and her sister Kylie are from Kris' marriage to Bruce Jenner, who married Kris in 1991. (Kris is Bruce's third wife.)
In 2013, Kris and Bruce Jenner finally confirmed numerous reports that they have been separated since 2012. The estranged couple has not filed for divorce. The Kardashians/Jenners star in the reality show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." Kourtney and Kim also have a spinoff reality show called "Kourtney and Kim Take Miami." Kris Jenner is an executive producer of these shows.
The Kardashian/Jenner clan has a history of dysfunction, divorce and dating celebrities. Kim Kardashian (who is 33) has already been married and divorced twice. Kim's second ex-husband is basketball star Kris Humphries. Before she married him, Kim dated football star Reggie Bush off and on for four years, and she famously made a sex video with rapper Ray J, the younger brother of Grammy-winning singer Brandy. Kim is currently engaged to Kanye West.
Khloe Kardashian has had a troubled marriage to basketball star Lamar Odom, whom she married in 2009 after a quickie courtship. Odom has reportedly been battling a substance abuse problem, and there are allegations that he cheated on Khloe numerous times. (Two of his alleged mistresses have told their stories to tabloids.)
Rob Kardashian's ex-girlfriends include former Cheetah Girls member Adrienne Bailon and singer Rita Ora. He has gone public about the bitter breakups he had with both of them.
Kylie Jenner is currently dating Jaden Smith, son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith.
Back in November 2012, Star magazine published a rumor that Styles was trying to date Kendall Jenner. An unnamed source told Star: "He's been inundating her with love poems and quotes from her favorite movie, 'The Notebook.' Only Harry can pull off that kind of schmaltz."
At the time, Styles was dating Swift, and Kendall Jenner was 17 (in other words, underage).
Just days after Kendall turned 18 years old on Nov. 3, 2013, she posted an Instagram photo of herself wearing a sheer top with her breast nipples exposed. And now, she's been hanging out with Styles.
Many One Direction fans on the Internet who are commenting about the relationship with Styles and Kendall Kenner say they do not approve, since they think Styles is better off not getting involved with the Kardashians/Jenners.
Considering that the Kardashians/Jenners star in a reality show and like to publicize their romantic relationships, it goes against Styles' refusal to publicly discuss details of the relationships he's had with women he's dated since he became famous.
Many people, including One Direction fans, think that Styles' dates with Kendall Jenner (and his short-lived relationship with Taylor Swift) are all publicity stunts. And even if he is having a real romance with Kendall Jenner, most people predict that it won't last for more than four or five months.
