A video posted on Jan. 1 taken during "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest" in Madison Square Garden showed "One Direction" member Harry Styles, 18, and "I Knew You Were Trouble" sharing a lengthy kiss and embrace when the ball dropped at midnight.
The couple has been relatively mum about their rumored romance, minus Styles' nonchalant "yeah" in response to questions about dating Swift on the "X Factor USA" finale red carpet. After their blatant display of tonsil hockey, however, the two have left little merit to their original story about being “just friends.”
Styles nearly missed his opportunity to reunite with his ladylove after the two parted ways for Christmas, with Styles spending the holiday with his family in England while Swift promoted her album “Red” in Australia.
According to a Dec. 30 report from New York Daily News, "Styles, 18, had been driven to the airport by his mother after spending the Christmas holidays at home, but realized at the check-in desk that he had left the document in his family home back in Cheshire."
Luckily, the "One Direction" member managed to get a later flight to visit Swift back in Boston before her New Year's Eve performance in New York.
