One Direction's Harry Styles and Niall Horan, who are both 19, had a wild night at Styles' 19th birthday party in London on February 2, 2013. According to the Mirror's Sunday People, Styles got a lap dance from a stripper hired for the occasion, and Horan later flirted with the stripper. Photos of Styles getting the lap dance are all over the Internet. Styles and Horan have said in interviews that they are single and available.
As previously reported, Styles did some club hopping with friends in London on the night of his actual 19th birthday on February 1, 2013. He started off by having dinner with close pals Nick Grimshaw, 28, and James Corden, 34, at La Bodega Negra, a Mexican restaurant. Styles then went to several nightclubs, including Groucho and Base.
Then on February 2, 2013, he had a second night of birthday celebrations, this time at the nightspots Rita’s Bar and Dining Room, Birthdays and Alibi before he headed to a private home to party some more. A blonde named Eve Lee accompanied Styles to the house party, according to the Sunday People, which published paparazzi photos of Lee and Styles in a car together after they left one of the nightclubs.
Among the other 40 to 70 pals who partied with Styles were "The Xtra Factor" host Caroline Flack and model Cara Delevingne, who both used to date Styles and have remained friends with him. Pixie Geldof, 22, was among the other party pals who celebrated Styles' birthday with him at these nightclubs.
At Birthdays, Styles was presented with a blue and green cake with a guitar on it that said, “Party like a rock star.”
The Sunday People reports that Styles spent about about £2,000 on alcohol at Birthdays and about £3,500 on alcohol and food at Alibi. (In the United Kingdom, the minimum legal age to drink alcohol is 18.)
One Direction came in third place on "The X Factor" U.K. in 2010, and the group has become the biggest worldwide act to emerge from "The X Factor." According to Now magazine, the five members of One Direction are reportedly worth £20 million each. Needless to say, spending £5,500 is chump change for Styles.
It was at Birthdays where Styles got the lap dance from the stripper. The exotic dancer was dressed as a police officer and made Styles "bury his head in her chest before she pretended to spank him with a truncheon," according to the Sunday People. Grimshaw, whose nickname is Grimmy, reportedly hired the stripper.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Styles talked about his encounter with the stripper: "It was great. I was in stitches. She forgot her truncheon. Grimmy said I had to sit there because he was bringing a cake. He started telling everyone to be quiet but I could see the cake in the kitchen and the candles weren’t lit, so I was like, ‘What’s going on?’
"Then Grimmy said, ‘Someone in here is under-age’ and I saw a police hat bobbing through the crowd. I was like, ‘Oh no!’ The stripper didn’t really say anything, she just began her routine. I have never seen my manager run so quick to cover the CCTV cameras but the pictures got out anyway.
“She stripped down to her underwear but unfortunately there was a no-nudity policy in the bar. She didn’t handcuff me but the funniest part was that when she finished she said, ‘I’m really sorry I couldn’t find my truncheon so I had to bring my nunchucks.’ That was a bit weird. Then a guy in our group came up and said, ‘I went to college with her!’”
Styles added: “Put it this way, it was a long day. We had two nights on the trot but you have to on your birthday, don’t you?
And even though Styles has a playboy reputation, Styles says rehearsing for One Direction's 2013 world tour (which launches February 22 in London) has left him too busy to date a lot of women. “We have to knuckle down and work hard, make sure we get everything ready so it’s a good show. I want to focus on that, not chasing girls.”
An insider told the Sunday People: “Harry was shocked when the woman first turned up, for a split second he thought that she was a real police officer. When he realized what she was actually there for, he was even more shocked.
“He looked really embarrassed but towards the end he began grinning, it was hilarious. Grimmy paid for the stripper, he didn’t know what to buy the man who has everything so he thought it was a good, funny idea.
“The irony of it was that apparently it was Niall who got close to the stripper, Harry wasn’t remotely interested.”It lasted about 10 minutes but the girl stayed after the dance and chatted to guests. She took her clothes of but kept her bra and pants on. There were lots of party poppers being let off. They wanted to embarrass him. It wasn’t meant to be a sexy thing. It was just for fun."
The source added: "Niall had his arm around the stripper at one point and was talking to her before she left. He was taking more of an interest in her. Originally the stripper was going to take all her clothes off but we didn’t want that to happen.
"We didn’t think it was right so we only agreed if they promised she wouldn’t get fully nude. That was part of the agreement. We would have chucked them out had she got naked. Everyone behaved themselves. When Harry went to the toilet at Rita’s he had to go through the whole bar so there were lots of girls coming up to him and asking him for photos."
Horan later tweeted: "Great night at @Harry_Styles birthday! Was a right laugh.”
As for the other guys in One Direction, a source told the Sunday People says that Styles invited them to his birthday celebrations, but they declined.
One Direction's Liam Payne, 19, and Louis Tomlinson, 21, chose to hang out together instead at the Funky Buddha, one of their favorite London nightclubs.
One Direction's Zayn Malik, 19, probably wanted to be nowhere near a nightclub party, since he's currently embroiled in a cheating scandal in which he's been accused of cheating on Little Mix's Perrie Edwards. Malik and Edwards met in late 2011, and they went public with their romance in April 2012. A 21-year-old Australian waitress named Courtney "CJ" Webb claims an interview with The Sun that she and Malik had sex at his London home on January 23, 2013. The Daily Mirror later reported that Webb used to work as a stripper.
Malik and Edwards have not publicly commented on Webb's allegations, but sources are telling the tabloid media that Edwards has broken up with Malik. Edwards has also reportedly banished Malik from Little Mix's U.K. tour after he went to one of the tour stops in Nottingham, England, to try to patch things up with Edwards. Edwards has not publicly commented on the status of their relationship, but Malik told The Sun that he and Edwards are "just fine."
Payne and Tomlinson have long-term girlfriends. Payne and dancer Danielle Peazer, 24, have been a couple since late 2010. Tomlinson and University of Manchester student Eleanor Calder, 20, have been dating since late 2011.
An insider told the Sunday People: “Harry made sure that everyone had a good time, there was nothing flash but there was enough wine to go round. There was also a lot of cake, it was everywhere. Harry stuck to vodka and Red Bull though, it’s his favorite drink. By the end of the night he was pretty drunk.
"He invited the rest of the band but only Niall came. Liam and Louis had a friend’s party in London’s West End that they had to attend but they promised to make up for it. Zayn is keeping his head down at the moment; he thought better of going to a party where there was a going to be a stripper."
