The Tea Party is a name used to describe Americans whose narrow and clear aim is to ensure that America - and the elected government that is supposed to represent it - holds firm and holds true to the Constitution and its principles. Despite repeated slanderous accusations by many, including Harry Reid, the basic ideals voiced by those who identify themselves with the Tea Party movement, are not at all radical, extreme, fanatic, or as Harry Reid put it, "anarchist". As World Net Daily reported on Tuesday, Harry Reid, in an obvious attempt to marginalize those who wish America would return to its Constitutional roots, lambasted those who dare to put up a fight against the monstrosity that is Obamacare, the unpopular piece of legislation that was, in essence, shoved down the throats of the American people; and the piece of legislation which - strangely - everybody wants to be exempted from, including unions, Harry Reid, Barack Obama, and Nancy Pelosi.
Only minutes into today's session, and right after Sen. Ted Cruz refused to grant Reid consent to proceed with judicial candidate confirmations, Harry Reid - who loves to portray himself as though he is on the side of the people - viciously attacked the Tea Party (the actual American people), accusing the Tea Party of anarchist behavior.
"The Affordable Care Act has been the law of the land for four years now", he said. "Democrats are willing to work with reasonable Republicans to improve this law, but we will now understand that there is an anarchy movement that's afoot."
Trying to convince the American populace that only "reasonable Republicans" are interested in working with Democrats, Harry Reid fails to mention that Democrats wanted absolutely nothing to do with Republicans when they, along with Barack Obama, forced the Affordable Care Act down everyone's throat; again, a move that was made without the consent of the governed.
Parading himself - as most Democrats do - as a representative who cares about America, Harry Reid embodies more the characteristics of a treasonous dictator than the Tea Party does an anarchist movement.
The only reason why the Affordable Care Act has been "the law of the land" for four years now - as Reid alluded to - is because it was forcibly passed against the will of the people, by anti-capitalists like Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and Barack Hussein Obama.
Reid had the audacity to continue:
"So, Mr. President, the reviews are in and they're universal. The ransom demanded by Republicans is unworkable and unrealistic."
Though he is correct in saying that the "reviews are in" and that they are "universal" the fact is that the reviews are heavily stacked against Harry 'Houdini' Reid.
The latest Gallup Poll shows that Reid is, by far, the most unpopular congressional leader in the nation, with a net approval rating of -20. How he has managed to remain in office this long is an astonishing escape act.
This latest Gallup Poll also reveals that the majority of Americans feel that Obamacare will do more harm than good, with 44 percent saying they feel that Obamacare will make the nation's healthcare situation worse, while only 35 percent feel it will make it better.
Harry Reid is either lying about the numbers or is being horribly misinformed by his staffers.
One last bit from the unpopular one:
"Are Republicans so intent on undermining President Obama and the signature healthcare law that they are willing to inflict severe damage to our economy in the process?"
Reid has the audacity to accuse Republicans of inflicting "severe damage to our economy"?
The fact is that Obamacare is slated to add $6.2 Trillion to the national deficit. As CP Politics noted, "The truth however is the Government Accountability Office anticipates the Obamacare entitlement program will place a heavy burden on the U. S. economy, which currently has a national debt of $16.7 Trillion."
Harry Reid is either shamelessly lying to the American people he was elected to represent, or he is massively and dangerously misinformed. In either case, his low approval rating appears spot on. Harry Reid has no business representing the American people.
"When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan." - Proverbs 29:2
