'Harry Potter': Daniel Radcliffe to Regis, 'I do tend to take them off a lot'

'Harry Potter': Daniel Radcliffe to Regis, 'I do tend to take them off a lot' -- Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe appeared on Live with Regis and Kelly Wednesday morning to talk about his new film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. Though they talked about several subjects in the interview, much of the coversation ended up being about nudity and clothing. For example, Mr. Radcliffe talked about his former role on Broadway, Equus, where he appeared nude on stage. Then he made a reference to the new Potter movie, saying, "I do tend to take them off [clothes] a lot."

"There's a lot of changing and things in this film," he said. "No frontal nudity; it's still a kids' movie."

Regis Philbin asked Daniel Radcliffe if he found it difficult to perform nude on stage.

The 21-year-old replied, "I'm sick and tired of all these actors saying 'Oh, it's so liberating.' I was terrified every single night," he said.

Asked about his new role in The Woman in Black, and if it's a relief to play a part other than Harry Potter he said, "It's lovely to know that people will employ me outside Harry Potter." He also loves the costume, a nineteenth-century suit, that he gets to wear in that movie.

Kelly Ripa asked Daniel Radcliffe if he did anything special for his 21st birthday this year.

"I went to Russia," he said. He talked about becoming "obsessed with a certain Russian author" and that he went to see his house in Moscow. He also visited St. Petersburg. Though he didn't mention the author's name, it is likely Mikhail Bulgakov who wrote Master and Margarita. Mr. Radcliffe poses with the book for a READ campaign poster produced by the American Library Association.

Mr. Radcliffe also talked about his upcoming role in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying that he will star in on Broadway in the spring. "I keep my clothes on in that one," he said.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 starring Daniel Radcliffe arrives in theaters on November 19, 2010.
