Harrison Ford has signed on for a role in “Anchorman 2.” The “Star Wars” actor will be co-starring alongside Will Ferrell in the highly anticipated sequel, The Huffington Post reported on Mar. 4.
According to the report, Ford will join Ron Burgundy on the big screen. Harrison is set to play a veteran news anchor, much like Tom Brokaw.
Harrison Ford’s new role in the comedy is sure to have younger fans laughing at the acting legend. Meanwhile, Ford is also likely returning to a role that helped launch his career – Han Solo. Harrison is currently in talks for “Star Wars Episode 7,” which is due out in 2015.
Harrison Ford will also join newcomers to the “Anchorman” cast, Kristen Wiig and James Marsden, as well as former favorites, Paul Rudd, Steve Carrell, and David Koechner.
