Harrisburg music scene this weekend (03/05 & 03/06)

OK, so it is time once again to talk about the musical goings-on this weekend (March 5th and March 6th) in Central Pennsylvania. Spring fever is starting to hit, so get your carcass out and about this weekend. Celebrate local music!

The Don Johnson Project will kick-off your weekend right at Roosevelt's Tavern in York. Expect the funking blues to begin around 8:00.

Self-proclaimed melders of all types of music, the Goat Ropin' Bastards, will be at the Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center (HMAC) Stage on Herr. If you enjoy a wild ride, then this is one show you do not want to miss. Doors open at 7:00.

Party rockers Natural 9 are going to make merry at Fat Daddy's in York. Start time for the revelry is 10:30.

The inimitable Don Johnson and his cohorts will keep the weekend going with more of their unique style at the Hollywood Casino in Grantville. No cover, as always, and the show starts at 9:00.

Metal Rockers Render are going to headline a show at The Depot that may be hard to beat. Joining them will be West Chester-based funk-metal quartet The Last Barbarians and astounding punkers The Boregasms (what a great name!), making this a complete night you do not want to let pass you by. The event kicks off at 8:00.

Phipps & Phriends, a talented band that refuses to be categorized, is going to bring it on at Morgan's Place in Harrisburg. The funk/jazz/blues/rock/all-around great music will begin at 8:00.

Ebenezer Screw will be kicking ass and taking names at Overtime Sports Bar in Hershey. The show will commence at 8:00.

The kings of 80's metal LeadFoot are going to tear down Tubby's in Duncannon. Metal phenomenon Torn will be opening. Expect the ear-splitting to begin at 9:00.

Melodic hard-rockers Evelyn's Ashes will be rocking you hard at Fat Daddy's in York. Maddam Ink will be bringing the heat to start things off. Showtime is 10:00.

No excuses: get out and enjoy the best local music Central PA has to offer.  Keep rockin'!
