Once again, it is time for the happenings this weekend on the Central Pennsylvania music scene.

Friday January 29

Post-modern hard rockers Meranda and New York-based rockers Planeside will blow the doors off the Spy Club at Dragonfly in Harrisburg. If you’re craving some unique, original hard rock, then you’ll want to be in attendance. Doors open at 10 PM.

Asking Andy brings their slick pop-rock music to Overtime Sports Bar & Grill (formerly Shakey’s) in Hershey. Alternative rockers Lucid kick off the show at 9:30.

Smokin’ Gunnz is gonna southern fry your rock and roll at Double K Tavern in Harrisburg. The “Southern Rock Done Right” kicks off at 9:30. If you have yet to see these legends in action, then get your rear in gear and get to Double K’s!

Hard rockers The Intensive Care Unit plays their mix of covers and unique originals at Fat Daddy’s in York. Showtime is 10:00.

The Don Johnson Project will be singing (and playing) the blues at Morgan’s Place in Harrisburg. Don’t be late, as the show starts @ 8:00.

2009 717 Award Winners (Best Hard Rock Band) Render, down-and-dirty rawkers Mumbly Peg and punk rockers extraordinaire The Boregasms are going to bring the noise at the Harrisburg G-man. Showtime is 9:00, and there is no cover for this jam-packed show! Miss this one and you’ll be sorry!

Smooth and loose funksters Funktion are bringin’ the funk to Chick’s Tavern in Hummelstown starting at 9:30. Lean back, relax and get the funk out.

Saturday January 30

All-around good-time band Natural 9 is playing Fat Daddy’s in York. The partying fun starts at 10:00.

Don Johnson must be the hardest working man in show business, as he is pulling another two-nighter this weekend. This time the Don Johnson Project lays down the funky blues to the patrons of The Wharf in Harrisburg. Showtime is 8:00.

Support local music. It makes you feel all tingly inside! Keep rocking.
