The Harrisburg Area Homeschoolers Association (HAHA) is a support group that seeks to encourage and support new and veteran homeschool families in their educational endeavors with their children. They provide monthly support group meetings for parents, information and updates on homeschooling via their website, and both social and educational activities for kids and families.

According to Lisa Kibler, HAHA member and Administrative Support, the advantages of joining HAHA include the monthly meetings which leave members refreshed and encouraged, the great field trip opportunities, and the chance to ask questions and discuss issues on the website's forum. "Jamey McClintock, President of HAHA, truly desires to meet the needs of homeschoolers and cyberschoolers in the area--anyone who has chosen to school their children at home," says Mrs. Kibler.

HAHA sponsors numerous field trips, service projects and recreational events. A membership card entitles members to discounts at many local merchants. In August HAHA hosts a large Used Curriculum Sale and Back to School Fair featuring numerous organizations and vendors that cater to homeschoolers. All are welcome to attend.

HAHA is like a great warehouse of information. Our strength is in our numbers. Members share about classes being offered, curriculum and websites they have found. No homeschooler has to be alone.

Meet new friends for you or your children, be in a room full of people who understand you and can help you or offer your support to someone in need. Excellent web site full of info. President Jamey McClintock is amazing and full of great advice and a wealth of contacts. If she can't help you, she knows someone who can.
