Upstairs at Soho Beach house a chic intimate pop-up boutique for Harper’s Bazaar-America’s first fashion magazine took place during the Art Basel madness. The glossy was established in 1867, which explains why they know precisely how to speak to the woman that wants the finest picks from each season. The editors curated fun to shop displays featuring the best from brands like; De Beers, Balmain, Michele, Valentino, etc.
Downstairs back at the oceanside tiki bar, MCM bag designer duo, Craig Redman & Karl Maier mingled with local celebs like; Alexis Echevarria and NY socialites, Tinsley Mortimer and Dabne Mercer. The event drew the who’s who from the fashion and art worlds like; Jessica Anderson CEO of Miami Fashion Network, Marcella Novella founder of Art Conductor, Lara Eurdolian a NY’er with a chic blog called pretty connected, Johnny Leo co-founder of Fountain Art Fair and Cassie Leventhal a digital media expert for Women’s Wear Daily.
Overall, the occasion was a creative way to celebrate the launch of MCM’s limited edition collection of designer bags. The brand established in 1976 has seen a re-emergence and focuses on accessories and travel equipment that reflect the personality and style of their clients. Guests sipped on coconut mojitos amidst a Miami-style winter décor theme including a life-sized snow globe, signature beach balls and an interactive Instagram photo booth. The best part was everyone walked away with a great experience and an autographed shopper, a handy way to carry purchases from the pop-up shop!
