Harmon Hall of Fame

The fourth annual Hall of Fame ceremony will be held Feb. 1 at J.C. Harmon High School, 2400 Steele Rd Kansas City, Kan., during halftime of the boy's varsity basketball team competing with Washington High School.

"The inductees were chosen based on their athletics at Harmon, their character, academics and citizenship," said a recent press release.

According to the press release:

Chosen to represent the athletes are:
• Ron Talley (1974) track/field
• George Guerra (1979) basketball
• Brenda (Langford) Chabot (1990) volleyball
• Redell Frazier (2007) track/field

Chosen for the coach’s or athletic director’s award is:
• Ron Graham, who worked for the Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools from 1973-2006 as a science teacher, as well as a basketball coach from 1975-1987.

Chosen for the Distinguished Service award is:
• Dr. Elmer Sharp
