This Friday evening, the Harley-Davidson Museum provides visitors with insight into the design and planning process of the legendary anniversary celebrations in its latest exhibit, 'Designing a Celebration.' This exhibit opens during the Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward 'Gallery Night' this Friday, January 18 with free admission from 5 to 9 p.m.
Vice president of the Harley-Davidson Museum, Bill Davidson says,
The visual treatments created for our anniversary celebrations evoke excitement in our customers as they join us in commemorating these great milestones. 'The Designing a Celebration' exhibit gives visitors a glimpse into the attention to detail our Styling team takes to create the images and logos that appear on our motorcycles and special apparel, including the designs for our upcoming 110th anniversary.
'Designing a Celebration' features artifacts, photos, and stories that share the history behind Harley-Davidson's anniversary celebrations beginning in 1913. The exhibit includes sketches and renderings of the anniversary logo development, displays of the unique manufacturing processes to create the special anniversary parts, and examples of the limited-edition anniversary motorcycles. All displays in this special exhibit display the pride the Harley-Davidson Styling team takes in creating a timeless look for each anniversary.
The Harley-Davidson Museum's 'Designing a Celebration' exhibit will be on display throughout Labor Day weekend and is located in the main Museum building. The exhibit is included in the cost of general Museum admission.
