Harlem Shake Triggers Investigation

Most Harlem Shake videos have been produced in living rooms, college dorm rooms and even game courts. The one that is under investigation was filmed in an airplane.

A group of Colorado College students on board a flight headed for San Diego in mid-february has made the Federal Aviation Administration a little upset.

Frontier Airlines has stated that the seatbelt sign was off during the filming and that the practice was safe.

An FAA spokesman stated that they are still investigating the issue.

The dance, the meme begins with a person wearing a helmet and dancing alone for about 15 seconds. Then the entire group dances.

Colorado College stated to the Huffington Post that:

"An FAA official left a voicemail requesting contact information for a student who posted the video. As per the college’s policy, we do not release students’ contact information. Other than that, the college has had no involvement in the inquiry."
