On tonight's new episode of "Hardcore Pawn," at Detroit's American Jewelry & Loan, the Gold family, Les, Seth and Ashley run the largest pawn shop in the area and deal with some of the toughest clientele imaginable.
First person to deal with is an furious woman who broke her television set when she dropped it and blamed another woman for not holding the door for her. Good thing they employ plenty of bodyguards to dispel angry people who easily turn into mobs.
A man came in with a laptop he wanted to trade in for a newer model. When the price was not want he wanted to accept, he called Seth a mother f***er. Immediately, a large bouncer turned up to escort him out of the shop as he was kicking, screaming and cursing all the way.
The next arrival is a guy with a cowboy hat who wants to pawn his extra large rocking horse. All Les will give him is $150, and he wants $300. The man clearly did not want to part with it for less than $300 and wound up taking it back home with him.
Next a woman was in tears because they would not take her XBOX, because it was old technology, she was very upset because her car broke down before she got to the shop and had to leave it in the street. The employee went out and pushed her car out of traffic and gave her $65 for the XBOX. Good job!
Seth had a man come in with 100-year-old glass negatives of Babe Ruth, but he wanted much more than Seth was willing to pay. As they were letting the man walk away, Seth had a change of heart and offered the man $250 for the one-of-a-kind negatives.
An elderly woman wanted gold jewelry and as Rick went into the back to get a better price for her, he left $7,000 worth of jewelry for the woman to guard while he was away. Ashley saw this action and told Les and Seth. Rich has been with them 26-years and apologized to Ashley. Les does not want to let it slide as the episode ended, cooler heads did not prevail on "Hardcore Pawn."
