Last night's episode of "Hardcore Pawn," was titled “Ashley in Charge.” Detroit's famous American Jewelry and Loan is the pawn shop that is never without some sort of conflict, angry people and ongoing sibling and family rivalry.

As the episode begins, Ashley addresses the crew before the shop opens. She tells them it is just her today, as Les and Seth are at a car show. She tells them if they have a problem, to come to her. Nobody says a word, and they open the shop.

A man comes into the shop looking for a power steamer, she tells him she has a power washer, and he starts calling her a dumb female and asks to talk to a man. He gets a man to talk to; it is Byron, who shows him the door.

Next a woman chewing gum like a horse, comes to her counter to pawn or sell two fur coats. One is synthetic, and the other is fur. She wants over $400 for them; Ashley offers her only $40 for the real fur and nothing for the other. After wasting her time, Byron walks the fur coat out of the door, as the woman follows.

As Karen is trying on fur coats as another employee watches, she is reprimanded by Ashley for playing instead of working.

Ashley and Bobby J are behind the counter when a comic book collector, and a woman are looking forward to selling a gold edition of an Amazing Fantasy comic cover. Ashley and Bobby J look it up on the Internet and it is not worth what they expected. The woman is insistent on getting rid of the thing, and is very overbearing to the guy. This rubs Bobby J the wrong way, but Ashley is not alarmed at all.

As Karen is waiting on a couple looking for a diamond ring, Ashley takes over and takes the sale away from her.

At the car show, Les sees the awesome old gold car that was featured on the episode titled “The Hot Rod.” He wants this car very badly, but the man wants $75,000, not the $50,000 that Les intended to pay. So they head back to the shop.

A woman with two Louis Vuitton purses looking forward to selling them, comes to Ashley’s counter. After much negotiation, Ashley gets them both for $650.

Karen greets two women who are ready for an argument. It seems that one’s boyfriend came in to pick up her ring, that is no longer there. Karen tries to quell the woman’s temper, as Ashley watches from another counter. She continues to call Karen, Ashley and insists that she is the one she spoke to on the phone. Ashley stated that the woman called and cursed her out about her boyfriend picking up her ring; however, he never showed up. Byron walked them out of the door.

When Seth and Les return, Seth feels that they wasted their time, Les wanted the car, but Seth feels that it will be covered with dust in no time, and wants nothing to do with it. As Ashley shows them the sales for the day, it was a good number. As Les walks away, he stated that with sales like that he could have bought the car, but Seth is determined he will not on this episode of "Hardcore Pawn."
