‘Hardcore Pawn: Chicago’ finds a two-headed calf on Tru-TV

On last night's episode of "Hardcore Pawn: Chicago" the family owned "Royal Pawn Shop," has the two Cohen brothers on the battlefield of Chicago and what and who walks into the shop is always a conundrum.

A black woman comes in the shop with her diamond ring. She tells Randy that her husband is across the street in the penitentiary. She wants $2,000 for her ring that she claims her husband paid $5,000 for. When he looked at it, he sees that it is worth no more than a $500 loan. She is angry and demands $2,000. When Wayne looks at it, he tells her it is not even worth $350, making her angrier. She claims that she was mistreated, but as the black security guard attempts to walk her out, she claims that the black man is doing the work of the white man as usual.

Next, a man comes in with an unusual stuffed and mounted animal. It is a two-headed calf with five legs. He wants $3,000 for this oddity that is heartbreaking to see. The shop does not usually deal in something like this, and the man tells him that he worked for a freak show and proceeded to eat a light bulb.

A man comes in to get his watch that he pawned. He was in jail for five years and normally when something goes over ninety days, it is sold. He continues to demand his watch that is a family heirloom. Randy offers him something better, but he insists that he wanted his own watch, or he would bust up the place. Finally, he came to his senses and left the shop before he found himself in jail again.

Another man came in with a silver chain and demanded more money for it than they were offering. He insisted that it was platinum, but it was clearly marked 925, which meant it was sterling silver. He accused them of cheating him even when Elyse showed him the markings.

Elyse checked out a similar two-headed calf on a website that was selling for $3,300. A young college girl came in to sell her jewelry because she is tired of asking her parents for money. Wayne liked her and gave her more than the jewelry was worth, but Randy gave him crap for her generosity and for falling for every pretty woman who comes in with a sob story.

Their friend the taxidermist came in to evaluate the calf. He verified that the calf was real and very rare. They tried to get it for $650, but the guy would not budge and wanted more. When he left, Wayne sent Nate after him to make a counter-offer. The man would not settle for less than $900, so he left to go back to Indiana with his calf. No deal today on "Hardcore Pawn: Chicago."
