Harboring Hearts 2nd Annual Summer Soiree: Honoring heart health advocacy

This past Monday, Harboring Hearts hosted its Second Annual Summer Soiree at The Rubin Museum of Art in Chelsea. Harboring Hearts, co-founded by Michelle Javian and Yuki Kotani, is a charitable organization dedicated to providing affordable refuge and community support for critically ill heart patients and their families. Notable guests in attendance included Eric Trump, Taye Diggs, Christian Siriano, Anne Dexter Jones, Jean Shafiroff, Kelly Killoren Benisimon, Nicole DiCocco, Hope Geier Smith, Laura Lofaro Freeman, Consuelo Vanderbilt Costin, Mick Rock, Ryan Serhant, Peter Davis, Jacob Langfelder, and George Wayne. A Charitybuzz auction took place during the event. Guests enjoyed assorted cocktails and a variety of food tasting stations provided by The Hummus & Pita Co. and Potatopia. Tennessee Thomas and Timo Weiland & Alan Eckstein also played DJ sets during the event.

At the Second Annual Summer Soiree, there was an inspirational and memorable program that took place. Evercore Founder and Executive Chairman Roger Altman, Columbia University Medical Center Dean of the Faculties of Health Sciences and Medicine Dr. Lee Goldman, Director of the Outpatient Pediatric Dyrsrhythmia Center at The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Dr. Christine Walsh, and heart transplant recipient and motivational speaker Michael Kutcher, were all honored for their incredible contributions and heart health advocacy. Lena Hall, along with Lance Horne and Burt Rock, gave a special performance following the speeches. What an admirable, worthy event!
