Bella, the senior dog posted as urgent on City of Elderly Love’s Facebook page this morning, was shared by many animal advocates who came together to do what they do best - help network her in an effort to save her life.
They can now all rejoice that their efforts have been rewarded. We have learned that Bella is safe in rescue.

Update: Bella has gone to rescue! She is still available for adoption in the Philly area but is no longer at ACCT. If interested in meeting her, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and reference her A#!
Seniors are often the most vulnerable for euthanasia in shelters when overcrowding occurs, and the The City of Elderly Love: Save a Senior Pet Facebook page was started to help seniors in need of rescue. If you have a soft spot for these loyal, elderly souls like we do, be sure to follow their page and help them in their efforts to save as many as possible.
They are so deserving of love and respect, and should never find themselves spending time in shelters in their golden years, but sadly sometimes there are circumstances that make it unavoidable.
Bella can now rest easy knowing she will be safe and loved throughout the rest of her life thanks to the many who shared for her and the rescue who stepped up to ultimately save her.
