The Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary in Ravenna, Ohio is a non-profit organization that rescues, rehabilitates and offers a chance for adoption to abandoned, abused and neglected farm animals. If you are an animal lover, you won't want to miss the chance to take a tour of this amazing facility and meet some of these special creatures.
Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary One of the largest farm animal sanctuaries in the state of Ohio, Happy Trails is situated on 10 acres of land and offers the rescued animals medical care, clean and safe housing, proper nutrition and of course, lots of tender, loving care. The Farm can accommodate up to 150 animals and they have rescued 3000 animals in their 13 years of existence. The Farm also serves as a retirement home for Amish buggy and plow horses that can no longer serve their Amish families.
Tours Happy Trails is currently offering personal guided tours for up to 6 people per group that will give visitors the opportunity to meet and greet animals like horses, ponies, pot belly pigs, farm pigs, chickens (including an ex-cockfighting rooster), ducks, turkeys, sheep, goats and cattle. Visitors will get up close and personal with the animals (Pet a mini horse or give a pig a belly rub) and hear each of their stories.
Tours are offered at 11 a.m., 12:45 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from now through October 27. Reservations are required. Allow 90 minutes for your tour. Admission is $20 for adults and $10 for youth (6-17). Children 5 and under are free.
Some Rules for the Tours Wear comfortable, closed toe shoes, arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time and please do not feed any of the animals.
