Happy the Hippo comes to life in performances at Universal Studios Florida

See also

If you ever wanted a hippopotamus for Christmas, you're not alone. Lora Wallace from Universal Studios Florida had the same dream, but unlike most people, she actually saw it become a reality.

Click the video accompanying this article to meet Happy the Hippo, a brand-new balloon from the Macy's parade this year at Universal Studios Florida. She appeared in the New York version, then came to her new home at the theme park, where she stars in a cute little show.

You can't miss Happy. She's bright purple, with pink toenails, so she's quite a sight as she floats through the sky. She joins all the other Macy's balloons that take to the streets of Universal Studios Florida for the daily holiday parade.

If you'd like to see the full 2013 parade, jump to this article for a video. If you prefer green holiday characters to purple ones, check out this article, which features a video interview with the Grinch.
