Although we have similar holiday responsibilities every year, this familiarity does not prevent us from pondering the same event each year: when to hang Holiday Decorations. Whether Jewish, Catholic, or Protestant, residences and businesses alike seem to push decorum a bit earlier each year. In my circle it is customary to put up decorations Thanksgiving night, but there is no real rhyme or reason. This tradition has often been deviated, and candy canes and wreaths have been seen as early as the first day of November. Whether decorations are put up as early as September, or as late as Christmas Eve, make this moment count. Add fun and flavor to holiday decorating by accompanying decorating with music, food, and fun. Influencing the Holiday Spirit with music is comforting, and supports a positive experience.
Coincidentally, Bass Performance Hall has already graced the lobby with their annual Christmas Tree displays. The two twenty-foot-beauties are currently making a profound holiday statement in the East and West portals of The Hall. Even if you have attended as a patron over the past decade, experiencing a guided tour by a knowledgeable docent offers new dimension and insight to one of Fort Worth's architectural gems. So start your holiday season with a bang, and slate Saturday morning at 10:30 for a complimentary tour of The Hall.
Note: If you take a brief moment to look across Fort Worth, you will notice a bit of holly here, and a Menorah there. This past week Downtown Fort Worth has begun its holiday transformation; holly has been recently hung with care, and pretty soon visions of sugar plums will manifest themselves on stage.

What a great article. You're correct - decorating starts earlier and earlier each year. I started listening to my Christmas music in October :)
