As posted previously in an exclusive interview with Jason O'Neill, the Irish dance company from Riverdance will be bringing its act to the Fisher Theatre courtesy of Broadway in Detroit in time to continue the week-long celebration of St. Patrick and everything Irish.
Although the troupe doesn't make it to Motown until Tuesday, they wanted to give a special shout-out to the Detroit fans (see video). And this Irish writer thought you might appreciate a heads up that you can catch a preview of the company performing "Hearbeat of Home" on ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Monday, March 17 in the 8 a.m.
This is billed as a huge St. Patrick’s Day celebration the day before performances begin in Detroit at the Fisher Theatre.
We'll leave you with these appropriate words from the great Irish poet William Butler Yeats:
“O body swayed to music, O brightening glance,
How can we know the dancer from the dance?”
