Happy nurses week in May

See also

Nurses week is the first week of May. Nurses are people who truly care, but they are also overlooked. Doctors often get the credit, but the nurses are the ones that do the daily work of caring for someone personally.

There are many types of nurses and CNA's as well. A good nurse wants someone to be better and more comfortable. They strive to help and give independence.

Nurses, CNA's, home health aides and personal care workers are hard working people. Without them, many of us would be a lot sicker, uncomfortable and way less independent. They work hard to keep a clean environment, healthy living and a cheerful disposition.

How can you appreciate a nurse? First, by saying thank you! Two little words can go far and make someone feel very appreciated. Second, try to have a nice attitude. They are there to help you so being grumpy does not help anyone.

Make sure you thank a nurse this week!
