Are you ready to embrace happiness? Every new year is an opportunity to reevaluate and change things in life that are causing unhappiness and grief.
It is up to each individual to change things that are clearly not working in life. If you find yourself doing the same thing over and over and over again, getting the same negative results; it's time to ask yourself "how's that working for you"?
Einsteins definition of insanity is "doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result". If you find yourself in this rut of repeating an old pattern, then it's time to make a change. Change is never easy. It take hard work and a support system.
Making a change for the better takes time, and change of routine. If one is a die hard routine personality type, then this process will be more laborious. Employ assistance from trusted friends and family members only. Do not ask those in life who are holding you back or causing the negativity in the first place. Exercise wisdom in choosing people to surround your efforts.
A new year brings with it new opportunity. The challenge to start over again. Stepping out and reaching out to others to help or to assist.
Change could begin with something as simple as driving to work on another route; starting a car pool, walking part way or whatever changes the routine.
Dressing in different style of clothing to redesign oneself. If one is used to wearing sweat pants and baggy sweat shirts; begin by choosing clothing that make you feel better about yourself.
Think outside the box. Redo yourself. Make a difference this year in the life of someone else. Start serving at a homeless shelter. Assist at a senior home or whatever is a change in the daily or monthly schedule.
Reach outside yourself. If help is needed, then brainstorm with friends or spouse. It takes a village to change some people. Ask for assistance.
Life is what YOU make it. Be happy by choice.
