It's time to give mom some time off and what better way that to give her a break from preparing, cooking, serving and cleaning up after a meal. Treat Mom to a four-course, prix-fixe, Mother’s Day brunch menu created by Triniti’s Executive Chef Ryan Hildebrand. Enjoy menu items like Smoked Clam and Deviled Eggs served with butter lettuce, ciabatta crostini, trout roe and pickles; Foie Gras served with doughnut holes topped with pink icing, bacon brittle and red eye syrup; Benedict, a rye English muffin topped with peekytoe crab, smoked trout pastrami, poached egg, spinach and choron; and Parfait, sheep’s milk yogurt, honey ice cream, mango passion fruit sheet and granola. The four-course, prix-fixe menu is priced at $75 per person. A separate kids menu will also be offered and is priced at $10.
Sparrow Bar + Cookshop
Join Chef Monica Pope at Sparrow Bar + Cookshop on Mother’s Day and enjoy a three-course, prix-fixe brunch menu priced at $35 per person. Menu highlights include Avocado Sashimi with almond sambal; Sugar-Cured Salmon “Stack” served with a potato cake, thin omelette, dill mascarpone and pickled red onion; and Affogato, a caramel semifreddo with salted caramel sauce, popcorn, cacao nibs and toffee. Complete your brunch experience with one of Sparrow’s signature cocktails like the Champagne Cocktail made with Cognac, Pierre Ferrand Orange Liqueur, Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur, lemon juice and champagne with an orange peel garnish. A separate menu for children is priced at $15.
Give Mom something extra sweet this Mother’s Day with CRAVE Cupcakes. Beginning Thursday, May 8 until Sunday, May 11, CRAVE will offer three special fondants available in dark chocolate, strawberry, vanilla and red velvet flavors. The festive fondants include “MOM”, “LOVE” and pink lilies. The Mother’s Day cupcakes will be available for order and will be sold in stores.
Latin Bites will offer brunch on Mother’s Day from 10 am – 2 pm. Start off with a Rocoto Porton Bloody Mary and delight in new brunch offerings from Chef Roberto Castre. New menu highlights include the Jalea de Calamar, fried calamari, crispy yucca, tartar sauce, cancha and salsa criolla; the Causa Rellena, a citrus infused potato with aji amarillo, avocado, botija olives, chicken salad, boiled egg, red bell pepper and aji rocoto mayonnaise; and the Chupa Verde, made with white fish, shrimp, octopus, squid, clams and mussels with fava beans, green peas and seasonal baby vegetables topped with a mint-basil sauce and carrot puree. All mothers will enjoy a complimentary dessert. The regular menu will also be available from 10 am until 7 pm.
Then spend the day enjoying some of the amazing activities that Houston has to offer from walking in the park to museums and cinemas. Maybe you could even let mom get in a bubble bath that doesn't include rubber ducks, as a way to end this special day.
