Happy Labor Day!
Each year this holiday rolls around and each year we go to cook-outs, barbecues, Labor Day events, and parties and we celebrate and have fun.
What are we celebrating?
Ask around and see if people know what and why there is a Labor Day.
That however is not the point of my writing this today.
Today’s point is to encourage you to shift from the idea of labor in terms of work, a job, or struggle, and shift to labor being about birth.
I want you to think of today as a day of opportunity where you can birth the life you desire. Bring into existence a new life, a life you may have only thought possible in your dreams.
You may have heard this question before, however, I am going to rephrase it several different ways and I want you to meditate on it from your current consciousness:
“If money were not an issue, what would I do with my life?”
“If my age, weight, sexual orientation, skin color, ethnicity, gender . . . were not an issue, what would I do with my life?”
“If fear were not an issue, what would I do with my life?”
Pledge today and each Labor Day from this point on to become mindful of the life you are bringing forth.
Are you birthing a life that is healthy, prosperous, and joyful or a life that is hindered and handicapped by the fears and limitations you have allowed to dis-able you?
Do not labor in vain; make today and each day a celebration of life!
