Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. -- Proverbs 22:6
Happy Father's Day first and foremost to my Lord and my God, the Father of all fathers. Happy Father's Day Detroit, all fathers everywhere. All men of God who train their children in the ways of the Lord, today you are to be honored. You are role models for your children, teaching them by your very actions how to honor God, worship God, praise God, and to walk with their Father.
Your presence in your children's lives makes a difference. Even if you can't provide an answer to their question or a solution to their problem, your kids will remember you just being there. They are watching you as you smile, as you struggle, and as you worship. Your children see you as you sit and study your Bible, they see you in the church pew, and as you hand off your problems to the Lord.
Keep in mind Ephesians 6:4 (Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.), as your go about your daily business. Remember that they are watching and will follow your example. Fathers, we honor you today and love you with the love of Christ. Have a blessed and Happy Father's Day!
Until next time, may God bless and keep you and may His face shine upon you. To our Lord be blessing and honor and glory and power, forever and ever. Amen.
