Los Angeles, California – Back in late November of last year, a very young, female pit bull was found suffering from life threatening injuries and near death. This young puppy was used as a bait dog. Click here for the original story.
A wonderful rescue by the name of Tails of the City took responsibility over this little puppy, now named Coco. It took a long time for Coco to heal from her massive wounds, but she made it and was soon adopted by a nice family.
One of the volunteers at Tails of the City went to the dog park today and, lo and behold, there was Coco - the once battered little puppy - romping and playing with other dogs. The volunteer said,
“She looks fantastic! You should have seen her at the park; running around, chasing the ball, playing with all her new friends. It was really great.”
This description accurately describes Coco today. The photos show a remarkable transformation from a tiny bait puppy at the edge of death, to a happy, healthy and much beloved family member.
Thanks to Tails of the City and Coco's new family, Coco’s story has a happy ending and she is certainly living it.
God speed, Coco! Have a wonderful life.
