This is a beautiful and fun article. An avid fan of books and James Joyce, I am a new fan of your words as well.

Nice article with some good suggestions for first time readers, Michelle. I've posted a link to it on our blog at ULYSSES "SEEN".

    Michelle,

You just HAD to write this, didn't you? As if the unread copy of Ulysses glaring at me reproachfully wasn't enough.

    Michelle,

Great article. Glad to see you're keeping Bloomsday front and center as one of the important dates in literature history. I wore my Ulysses and Bloomsday shirts today and not a single person commented on them. So sad.

"HiFallutin?" A celebration of the most mundane aspects of life as well as the sublime: That's the beauty of it. Its fractuousness makes it real. AN INCREDIBLE assessment. One of my favorite articles so far!!! Now off to Becketts for a pint!!!

I think you just convinced me to read Ulysses this summer.

I still have to listen to the audiobook. I want to travel to Dublin, I love James Joyce books... :)
