Gabrielle "Gabby" Douglas might be getting ready to celebrate New Year’s Eve, but before she does there is one big party the star must have first. Gabby Douglas needs to celebrate her birthday as turns 17 on Monday, there is probably some cake, ice cream and even a little fun scheduled for the birthday girl.
“It's my birthday!” tweeted Gabby Douglas from her official Twitter account on Monday. The star included a photograph of her celebrating her birthday. Just returning from a Disney Cruise with her family, it appeared that Gabby was focused on her special day.
The Olympic gold medal winner has accomplished plenty in 2012. Gabby is the first African-American gymnast to become the individual all-around champion has been busy after the London Olympics and has inspired her fans. Gabby Douglas was of the Barbara Walters’ 10 Most Fascinating People, named the Associated Press’ female athlete of the year, and even was a new author with her book Grace, Gold and Glory: My Leap of Faith.
