Is happiness in the eye of the beholder? Happiness is like hope . . . available for those who seek it or to those who truly desire it. Like much else in life, happiness is a choice and requires effort to maintain and sustain.
Ask yourself these questions: .jpg)
- Do you have a strong support network (family, friends?)
- Are you supportive to others?
- What do you do in your free time?
- Do you enjoy socialization?
- How often do you volunteer your time to others?
- What motivates you?
- How do you define simplicity?
- Is faith a central part of your life?
- How do you balance work, family, social?
Answers to these questions will assist you in understanding your desire for happiness . . . the first step in achieving it.
Please join in tomorrow as the happiness discussion is continued.

There are many perspectives on happiness. All the wisdom traditions say that the true source of happiness is coming to realize that the "I" or self we consider ourselves to be is false. Separateness is an illusion.
Through practices that get us out of our thinking and into our bodies and senses, we can develop our capacity to live in the present moment. In the present moment, life is perfect the way it is.
